V J Bailey (Port Talbot) LTD is a long-established Port Talbot business.
The Bailey family charged batteries for customers and made their own radios from scratch sold them in their shop. The product range expanded to include televisions and then household appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators.
V J Bailey (Port Talbot) Ltd joined Europe’s largest independent buying groups. Euronics, which gave the company the huge buying power it needed to compete with the internet, large supermarkets and chain stores.
The buying group has more than 600 stores all over the country, allowing smaller independant stores to get an edge over the larger chains.
At V J Bailey (Port Talbot) Ltd we pride ourselves on our customer service. When you purchase an item from us this is the start of the sale, not the end. We believe that great customer service is one reason why our customers keep on coming back to us.
We only stock the best quality brand names such as Bosch, Neff, Beko, Blomberg, Hotpoint, Hoover, and many more.
As a member of Euronics we are as competitive as the superstores but we also give a first class delivery and installation service which gives us the perfect combination for customers.
V J Bailey (Port Talbot) Ltd can deliver and install your new washing machine, dishwasher, tumble drier and refrigeration product to existing points and we also remove and dispose of the old one too. We do not currently install some built in appliances but can arrange to have them fitted by local, qualified, persons at a reasonable charge, and generally cheaper than the national stores.
We can also deliver, install, tune in and demonstrate your new television to existing points and remove your old television set for a small fee too.
There’s free local delivery available to the Port Talbot, Neath, Maesteg, Aberkenfig, Tondu, Cornelly and Porthcawl areas.
Our Services
Free Local Delivery
We deliver all large items purchased from us locally Free Of Charge. We will deliver your item to a room of your choice. There is no charge for delivering up steps, unlike most national retailers who will not deliver where there are over two steps or to flats.
Installation
We deliver all large items such as washing machines, tumble dryers, fridge freezers, televisions locally Free Of Charge. There is a charge for installation. Please ask our staff for details.
Recycling
We can remove your old product on a like for like basis for recycling. Recycling is free but there is a transportation and storage charge. This is currently £20 for items such as washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, etc., and £25 for refrigeration, excluding American style, and will include the removal of the packaging.
Delivery Times
We normally arrange for a delivery time between 9 AM and 1 PM, or between 2 PM and 5 PM, so you are not waiting in all day for us. We can telephone you when our delivery staff are on the way if required. Please Note: We do not deliver on a Thursday or a Sunday.

We are a family business and have proudly served the local community for over 60 years, employing local people so jobs are kept in the area, not outsourced countrywide and helping keep the local High Street alive.
We have many items on display in our shop and can give information on them, so rather than just looking at pictures online, call into our shop and we can demonstrate how they work to you.
In the event you should have a problem, or need advice, on any item we supply, you can call to see us, or telephone us direct, so you will not need to ring a call centre and speak to someone, possibly in a different country.
